Content

The unit provides systematic study, including textual criticism, of the key spiritual and theological elements of the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius of Loyola. Based on (i) the Rules for Discernment of Spirits, and (ii) the Election in the Exercises, this unit will assist both trainee spiritual directors and individuals to formulate theoretical frameworks adequate to their guidance of directees, or for personal use in more fully engaging with the Spiritual Exercises.
