This unit will provide students with skills in essay planning, academic paragraph writing, editing, proofreading, the research process and the APA format for referencing.

Within the Advanced Diploma, the Introduction to Academic Writing course will ensure students have the skills necessary for essay writing and research at AQF level 6.

Pedagogy

This unit employs interactive lectures, including seminar-style discussion of guided readings, student presentations, and group projects.
