This unit invites students to engage in an interdisciplinary, integrative and peer engaged process as a culmination of the Masters award they are studying. It introduces students to practical theological methodology to facilitate their interdisciplinary engagement, in order to “do theology” with reference to their own context. It focuses on the application of theological knowledge for engagement in professional practice and learning

Learning outcomes

Demonstrate advanced knowledge of sources, terms and concepts required in pastoral care, and of the relation of pastoral care to broader theological studies

This capstone unit is a requirement for the Masters of Pastoral Care.

The unit engages with a practical theological methodology pedagogy of “Attend, Assert, Act”. It uses various tools such as peer review and engagement, supervision, presentation assessment
