Intensive: 11, 12, 18, 19 of March and 1 and 2 April

Delivery:

This intensive (face to face) and in the online synchronous mode is offered over a course of 6 days (Fridays and Saturdays). The class will meet from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on the advertised dates and will include scheduled breaks. Lectures will take place at Pilgrim Theological College. The External-Online Synchronous mode will meet at the same time as the Face-to-Face unit.

Class Preparation:

Readings for the unit will be provided electronically on the ARK Meta site. Reading as much of the material before class will be helpful but students are expected to have read the scriptural text assigned for each session and at least one reading for each session. The Scriptural texts dealt with in this unit raise issues pertaining to women’s lives such as sexuality, and violence – both past and present - which some may find troubling.

Attendance Expectations:

Students are expected to attend all classes. If extenuating circumstances prevent you from being in class you are encouraged to contact the lecturer in advance.

Workload Expectations:

Students studying in this unit are expected set aside nine hours per week throughout the semester including the mid-semester break in order to complete the required readings, class participation activities, and assessment tasks. Submission of two assessment tasks – 1. Essay on Reading Material 2. And Exegetical Essay.
