Theology of Pastoral Care (DP8500P)

Lecturer and students will work interactively, drawing on the experiences and challenges in pastoral ministry, and identifying basic questions and issues to be addressed. Lecture input will be combined with group work, role play, and personal story, together exploring, and examining the understanding and practice of ‘pastoral’ care. On two occasions through the semester, students will be expected to have a one-hour 1:1 meeting with the lecturer about progress with assessments and particular topics of the student’s interest or concern. Normally, pre-reading will not be required but relevant resource materials will be available on ARK each week.
