In this unit, students are introduced to Biblical Hebrew and Biblical Greek and the grammatical and lexical tools used in learning and translating these languages. Students will gain skills in the use of lexical and grammatical tools that will allow them to engage more deeply with biblical texts in their second and third years.

This unit is a prerequisite to second and third year units in Languages.
Task-orientated practice-based learning. This is a skill-development focused practical subject that uses a highly scaffolded Gradual Release of Responsibility approach to enable students to develop their ability to use lexical and grammatical tools for second and third-year biblical studies subjects and into the future.
