This unit continues and furthers the study of German for Theological and Biblical studies or for other academic purposes. It addresses complex syntax typical for academic German, as well as advanced grammar, and vocabulary specifically needed in translating academic texts.

Pre-requisites: AL1031Y or equivalent knowledge of German language Co-requisites: nil
Each week focusses on one topic of grammar or syntax through explicit teaching, individual exercises and exercises in pairs or small groups. Students are encouraged to work on texts of their choice. Assessment is designed to test as well as to stimulate learning. Students taking the unit online participate in the class via appropriate technology. All students access online material in between classes.
