This unit provides a basic introduction to New Testament Greek. It provides knowledge of the vocabulary, grammar and syntax in order to enable translation and interpretation of selected New Testament passages from the earliest Greek texts.
Demonstrate key grammatical concepts necessary for working in another language
Identify foundational elements of Greek grammar and syntax
Show familiarity with a basic working Greek vocabulary
Translate small, selected portions of the Greek New Testament
Apply a basic understanding of Greek to the reading of critical commentaries for sermon and teaching preparation.
Multi-media lessons augmented by set texts, online quizzes and tasks. There is also a weekly 30-minute Skype/Zoom tutorial session with the teacher.
