This unit builds upon AL1300A which introduced students to the vocabulary and grammar of Sahidic Coptic, as well as introduced some of the various sources of Sahidic. This unit (AL2300A) now consolidates and advances students’ knowledge of the Sahidic Coptic language through a study of a range of Sahidic texts.

Unit sequence

Pre-requisite: successful completion of AL1300A (Coptic language: Sahidic I)

Pedagogy

12 weekly sessions online. Each session consists of the teacher's multi-media lessons augmented by the set texts, online quizzes and tasks. The unit will include 12 weekly live zoom tutorials (3 hrs) with the lecturer.
