Students should access the metapage of the unit and download the reader for the unit, the additional bibliography documents, and then reader the forum posts from the News from the Lecturer. (Students enrolled in the unit prior to June 30th 2025 may have already received these emails via the ARK system). Advice on the essay requirement for the online students is contained in the first lecture; a separate email explaining the requirements for the Report assessment piece will also be provided. (And will be found in the News from the Lecturer forum). Students should then begin to access the recordings (via the News from the lecturer listings), and start to work their way through the recordings with the reader and the worksheets. (The worksheets form the basis for the Report assessment, so doing them is important).

The listing below has the topics covered and an approximation of the order in which they were done - the dates are irrelevant, what is relevant is the topic order, and to listen to a given topic's lecture first before listening to the review of the worksheet for that lecture.
