Textbook(s): | You will need access to a Bible during every class. The Bible that you use for your theological studies should include the books known as the Deuterocanonical or Apocryphal Books (look for language such as “Catholic Edition” or “with the Apocrypha”). It needs to be in a recent, fairly literal translation such as the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) [or its Anglicised or Catholic or updated editions]. You may wish to buy a “study Bible” (i.e., a biblical translation with notes and maps), such as the New Oxford Annotated Bible or the HarperCollins Study Bible. Biblical translations are also available freely online at sites such as https://www.biblegateway.com . There is no need to buy any other resources. The items in the bibliography are available through Mannix Library (paper copies) and/or the Library Hub (electronic copies). The ARK webpage for the unit includes links to e-books to assist you. |
