This unit provides a general introduction to the New Testament. It introduces students to the literary forms, historical and cultural contexts and theological themes of the New Testament. Students will examine first century history (in and around the land of the New Testament), contemporary critical methodologies and the shaping of the New Testament canon. Students will study an overview of all books of the New Testament.
