Understanding the New Testament is critical for faithfully living out God’s plan to reconcile and renew the world through Jesus Christ. The class considers the formation of the New Testament and its historical-cultural background. Students will practice various methods of interpretation on one book of the New Testament, survey key information about various books across the New Testament canon, and apply interpretive conclusions to life and ministry in contemporary contexts.
