In this unit students will consider the person and nature of Christ. Students will learn about the Christological discussions of the early Church and the issues at play during the formation of the Creeds. This unit will introduce students to understandings of the person of Jesus and the issues of salvation. We will address the meaning of Jesus for the current context in relation to the quest for justice and liberation, feminism, ecology, dialogues with other traditions, and with those who understand themselves as not religious.
