This unit introduces some of the major trends and challenges in worldwide Christian mission today. Drawing on recent missiological thought and practice the unit explores and analyses the outworking of them in different contexts today. Among the topics to be considered are: the justification of mission, the theology and practice of contextualization, past and present contextualisers, holistic mission, identities and roles of cross-cultural workers, as well as the awarenesses, knowledge, skills and practices commonly required for engaging in Global intercultural and interreligious mission today.
