This unit introduces students to conflict management theories, principles, and frameworks. Students will learn to explore the triggers and reasons for conflict situations in different contexts. Students will also explore how trust building and negotiation skills could assist in resolving conflicts in personal, organisational and community settings.

Working in groups (2-4) to analyse a conflict management case study and make a presentation of their anlaysis and recommendations to the class on the Intensive day.

Students will analyse their work situation (or case study), determine the issues and triggers for the conflict, the needs, and frameworks to be followed to manage the conflict. They will also reflect on their learning, and the skills they have learned as a result of this activity. (Equivalent to 2250 words)
