This unit is designed to assist in the formation of effective leaders for a healthy, missional church. Students will critically explore the nature of leadership and ministry practice in the light of biblical theology. Topics may include: visioning, strategic planning, team development, decision-making and effective implementation from a Christian theological and ethical framework; issues of power, authority in decision-making; developing healthy leadership practices.

Pedagogy

UCLT uses primary and secondary sources considered through different lenses to identify and explore the challenges of the unit material for the contemporary world. Students are engaged in a range of comparative, analytical and reflective practices.
