This is a practical or research project unit. The leadership research project may originate from large corporations, not-for-profit, faith-based, government agencies, small businesses or entrepreneurs in an area related to studies completed to date. The students will select the area of a project based on a disciplinary area that they are familiar with. Students will work closely with an academic staff member and an industry staff member. They will be guided through the processes of proposal preparation, data collection and analysis, project implementation, business planning and project reporting. The focus of the unit will be on practical application of the knowledge already acquired in the course.
Students will learn apply their gained skills and knowledge in critical thinking, analytical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making communication, and reflection to this project providing evidence of competence building, implementing, and reporting on business projects in the industry.
