Content

The candidates identify a gap in their own knowledge or a specific area of focus in their professional practice that they need to investigate for the enhancement of their proposed research. They work with the academic team to determine and co-design a means for accessing expertise to address the knowledge gap, deepen their understanding, and/or develop their own professional expertise. Drawing on prior learning, they employ reflective and reflexive practices to critically evaluate and integrate the significance of new insights gained for their own practice, as well as that of their profession, the systems they operate within, their contexts and communities. Examples of access might be to engage in a reading program, attend a conference or engage in a specialised project.
